Donation & Refund Policy

The Smilo Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to supporting individuals and families navigating complex healthcare journeys. We are grateful for your generosity and support.

1. Donations

All donations made to Smilo Foundation are:

  • Voluntary

  • Made without expectation of goods or services in return (unless explicitly stated)

  • Used to support our mission, programs, and operations

2. Tax-Deductible Status

Smilo Foundation is currently in the process of obtaining recognition as a tax-exempt organization under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

  • Once approved, donations may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law

  • Donors are encouraged to consult their tax advisor regarding deductibility

3. Refund Policy

As a general policy:

  • All donations are non-refundable

However, we may review refund requests on a case-by-case basis in limited circumstances, such as:

  • Duplicate transactions

  • Unauthorized or fraudulent charges

  • Errors in the donation amount

To request a refund, you must contact us within 7 days of the transaction.

4. Refund Request Process

We will review and respond within a reasonable timeframe.

5. Third-Party Payment Processors

Donations may be processed through third-party platforms. In such cases:

  • Your payment information is handled directly by the provider

  • Refunds may be subject to the policies and processing timelines of those providers

6. Recurring Donations (If Applicable)

If you enroll in a recurring donation:

  • You may cancel at any time before the next billing cycle

  • Charges already processed are subject to this refund policy
