Donation & Refund Policy

The Smilo Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to supporting individuals and families navigating complex healthcare journeys. We are grateful for your generosity and support.
1. Donations
All donations made to Smilo Foundation are:
Voluntary
Made without expectation of goods or services in return (unless explicitly stated)
Used to support our mission, programs, and operations
2. Tax-Deductible Status
Smilo Foundation is currently in the process of obtaining recognition as a tax-exempt organization under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Once approved, donations may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law
Donors are encouraged to consult their tax advisor regarding deductibility
3. Refund Policy
As a general policy:
All donations are non-refundable
However, we may review refund requests on a case-by-case basis in limited circumstances, such as:
Duplicate transactions
Unauthorized or fraudulent charges
Errors in the donation amount
To request a refund, you must contact us within 7 days of the transaction.

5. Third-Party Payment Processors
Donations may be processed through third-party platforms. In such cases:
Your payment information is handled directly by the provider
Refunds may be subject to the policies and processing timelines of those providers
6. Recurring Donations (If Applicable)
If you enroll in a recurring donation:
You may cancel at any time before the next billing cycle
Charges already processed are subject to this refund policy
